Professor Schindler from Washington College, MD (USA) organized a four week field work for archaeology and anthropology students from his college and further afield. This included visits to sites and museums in the US. The second half of this course, running in summer 2012 and again in 2014, consisted of a tight program in Denmark. Paardekooper was involved here as a tour guide and organizer as well as one of the specialists students could learn from. He assisted in getting access to museums and with his knowledge of the Danish language and culture, made it easier to travel around and change the program on the spot where necessary. By comparing the US and the European way of working with archaeology and tourism, the American students learned a great deal, most of it from own experience.
